Cross-Cutting issues for Humanitarian Coordination

The coordination of cross cutting issues across humanitarian clusters, projects and activities throughout the cycle of the emergency is key to the successful outcome of aid programmes designed to assist populations to prepare for, successfully endure and recover from natural hazards and man-made disasters.

The following cross-cutting issues are of particular importance in humanitarian contexts and have been identified specifically to facilitate coordination during disasters and enable easy retrieval of documents:

- Gender equality and inclusiveness

- Information Management

- HIV/AIDS

- Civil Military Coordination
