Due to the low pressure the District EOC is now operating under a skeleton staff –

Continuous heavy rain from last night till this morning had caused flooding in low lying areas of Macuata.

• Nagigi temple road under water, knee deep level

• Navoalevu, Wainikoro stretch closed to all traffic.

• Kelikoso village – 8 houses under water including village church and hall, villagers evacuated

  at the CMF church on the hill.

• Urata Loop Road under water.

• Boubale road closed to all traffic

• Vesidrua road landslide; still open to traffic

• Batiri village new bridge closed, all traffic diverted to old bridge

Public are advised to take precautions if they are living in low lying areas and should move up to higher grounds and refrain from trying to cross flooded rivers and crossings.
