KEY UPDATES:

Sigatoka, Nadia and Tavua have begun with their relief distribution and are continuing with their assessment
National Office teams supporting operations in Nadi, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki
FRCS Truck full load with supplies replenishing West branch containers with additional disaster relief stocks
Support from Australian Red Cross with Disaster relief items
 

SITUATIONAL OVERVIEW

 
FRCS National Office with the support from IFRC and NDMO are coordinating the flood operations on the ground as to assist the needs in the affected areas with timely arrival of relief items. With the support from Australian Red Cross, they have donated FRCS with Hygiene Kits for adults and babies, Collapsible Water containers, Kitchen Sets and Filter Carbon and Sediment for the NOMAD Water Purification Unit. All items are expected to arrive in Fiji by Monday next week.
 

WEATHER OVERVIEW

 
  • Cloudy periods with some showers over the interior and the eastern parts of the larger islands.
  • Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers.
  • Isolated thunderstorms especially over the interior and western parts of the main islands.
